My name is Korrine Miller.  I am qualified Early Childhood Teacher, approved DET teacher for K to Year 2. I am currently studying a Bachelor of Primary Education through Curtin University after 9 years away from teaching while raising my two boys with Autism, as a single Mum. I have returned to study to ensure that my knowledge is up-to-date. I am passionate about education and sharing my enthusiasm for life long learning with my students.

In the years away fom teaching I have worked as a volunteer which saw my family have our house made over by Domestic Blitz in 2009 and in 2010 I was nominated for the Pride of Australia Medal. I ran my own photo keepsake business and completed a Small Business certificate. I was heavily involved in the early intervention my boys received over many years.

Having children with Autism has changed a lot of my ways of thinking and in a positive way. One of the strengths you develop is the ability to be flexible and find creative ways of teaching new skills and abilities. Technology in the classroom (and at home) has been come an area of fascination and I believe a positive way of engaging students in learning. I am a person who is naturally curious and I love to explore new things, I hope that this is something that I can share with my students.
